My BackPack: Logging In (and How to Reset Your Password)
Logging into My BackPack
My BackPack is an online school portal in which parents can view their child(ren)'s report cards, class schedules (HS only), and other important documents. It is also where parents should make changes to their personal profiles, such as phone, email, home address, as well as add caregivers or non-parent relatives.
To log into My BackPack, you can click here, or you can start at heschel.org. From Heschel.org, navigate to the top right-hand portion of the screen where you will see a banner called "Community Links".
When you move your mouse pointer over the banner, it will expand to show a number of options, including My BackPack.
Click on "My BackPack", then enter your User Name and Password. Your username is the email address you provided to Heschel. (If your email address changes, please message techsupport@heschel.org to request that your My BackPack username be updated to match.)
Once logged in successfully, you will see a screen similar to the one below. Most sections are self-explanatory. Report cards and other important parent documents are located in your "My Documents" folder.
How to Reset Your My BackPack Password
If you do not know your password, please follow the instructions below.
Click the link at the bottom of the page that says “I Forgot My Username/Password”
On the next page, enter your email address in the email address field. Leave your “User Name” blank. and click “Get User Name/Password”
You will see the following message:
Check your email for a message from “Heschel My BackPack”
The message looks like this:
Click the link that says “Click here to reset your Heschel My BackPack password”
Enter a new password** and confirm it.
**Note that valid passwords must:
- Use at least 13 characters
- Contain at least 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter, 1 number, and 1 special character
- NOT contain any leading or trailing blank spaces or tabs
You will be prompted with a message that your password was changed successfully:
5. Click the “Go to login page” button and log in. You can now log in with your new password.
